Established on 18/7/1984 by Janta Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, Barshi-Takli Dist-Akola, Shri Babasaheb Dhabekar Arts and Commerce College, Risod, Tal-Risod Dist-Washim (M.S) has been consistently catering to the educational need of the backward class boys and girls mostly from the agrarian and educationally deprived area. The college is permanently affiliated to Sant GadgeBaba Amravati University, Amravati and has been recognized u/s 2(f) and 12(B) by the UGC. The Janta Shikshan Prasarak Mandal Barshi-Takli has transferred the college to Kashibai Maganlalji Bagdiya Bahuuddeshiya Minority Society, Risod in the year 2019-20 and the college has been renamed as Uttamchand Bagdiya Arts and Commerce College, Risod.
